摘要: Generation of quantum light source is a promising technique to overcome the standard quantum limit in precision measurement. Here, we demonstrate an experimental generation of quadrature squeezing resonating on the cesium D2 line down to 10 Hz for the first time. The maximum squeezing in audio frequency band is 5.57 dB. Moreover, we have presented a single-photon modulation locking to control the squeezing angle, while effectively suppressing the influence of laser noise on low-frequency squeezing. The whole system operates steadily for hours. The generated low-frequency quantum light source can be applied in quantum metrology,light-matter interaction investigation and quantum memory in the audio frequency band and even below.

摘要: Synthesizing many-body interaction Hamiltonian is a central task in quantum simulation. However, it is challenging to synthesize interactions including more than two spins. Borrowing tools from quantum optics, we synthesize five-body spin-exchange interaction in a superconducting quantum circuit by simultaneously exciting four independent qubits with time-energy correlated photon quadruples generated from a qudit. During the dynamic evolution of the five-body interaction, a Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state is generated in a single step with fidelity estimated to be $0.685$. We compare the influence of noise on the three-, four- and five-body interaction as a step toward answering the question on the quantum origin of chiral molecules. We also demonstrate a many-body Mach-Zehnder interferometer which potentially has a Heisenberg-limit sensitivity. This study paves a way for quantum simulation involving many-body interactions and high excited states of quantum circuits.

摘要: The hybrid photon-atom integrated circuits, which include photonic microcavities and trapped single neutral atom in their evanescent field, are of great potential for quantum information processing. In this platform, the atoms provide the single-photon nonlinearity and long-lived memory, which are complementary to the excellent passive photonics devices in conventional quantum photonic circuits. In this work, we propose a stable platform for realizing the hybrid photon-atom circuits based on an unsuspended photonic chip. By introducing high-order modes in the microring, a feasible evanescent-field trap potential well $\sim0.3\,\mathrm{mK}$ could be obtained by only $10\,\mathrm{mW}$-level power in the cavity, compared with $100\,\mathrm{mW}$-level power required in the scheme based on fundamental modes. Based on our scheme, stable single atom trapping with relatively low laser power is feasible for future studies on high-fidelity quantum gates, single-photon sources, as well as many-body quantum physics based on a controllable atom array in a microcavity.
